TUCSON, Ariz.

– The Tucsons are not exactly known for its fine art but that is no longer the case as photographer Matt Riddle has been forced to flee Arizona following a series of anti-immigration protests in the state.

“I’m scared for my family.

I’m scared to go to work.

I think I have to leave right now,” Riddle said in an interview with Arizona Public Radio on Thursday.

Riddle said that he was inspired to start photographing in the Arizona capital by the protests which erupted after President Donald Trump signed an executive order that banned all undocumented immigrants from entering the US for 120 days.

“We were just watching the news, people crying and being scared and I thought, ‘This is really interesting,'” Riddle told Arizona Public radio.

“I decided to start documenting.”

“We are the people who are making this happen,” he said.

“My family is safe and they are not being targeted,” Riddles father, Robert Riddle, said.

“My wife and I are still in the house.”

Riddle and his wife are currently working on a book and have already started working with Arizona photographer and activist Ana Hernandez.

“It’s a very brave thing to do,” Hernandez told Al Jazeera.

“What we’re trying to do is to empower the people of Arizona.

We want them to be able to take their rights back.”

Hernandez is now working with Riddle to produce a new series of photos, which will be shot in the Tucusons historic downtown.

“There’s nothing more powerful than seeing the faces of people that have been denied their rights, they’re being discriminated against,” Hernandez said.

In the past, Riddle’s work has been featured on a number of magazines and the Tucson Weekly.

“For me, it was a little bit of a shock.

I had never been to Tucos but it was really a shock,” Riddler said.

Riddleston said that his wife and his three children were also scared to leave Arizona, but that the experience was not as bad as what happened to him.

“When I got home, I had a panic attack and my heart just dropped,” he explained.

“The next thing I know, I went to work and my wife and three kids were at home and I went out with them.”

Riddlin said that Arizona’s Governor Doug Ducey is now encouraging people to join him in the fight against the anti-immigrant movement.

“He said that the people that are coming in have been there for a long time and he’s going to make sure they are welcome in the State of Arizona,” Riddlestone said.
